Each year at Hamilton's Pep Rally, male students are eligible to be spirit leaders and become "male cheerleaders". However, over an incident that happened in 2017, these dances have been banned since then. Since most of those who were a part of the incident have either graduated or are seniors now; they believe they have learned their lesson from their punishment and would like to redeem themselves this year and so that the dances may be brought back where other grades can also enjoy them in the future years. By accepting this proposal, all grades promise to make their dances school appropriate, yet, fun, enthusiastic, enjoyable, and respectful. The true meaning for a pep rally is to spark enthusiasm before big homecoming game, and what better way to do that, by including each grade in something they can spark their imagination with and be creative. We request these dances will be shown during pep rally and possibly halftime at the homecoming game. We understand that the dances must be choreographed, and music turned in by October 9, and each grade will need a teacher to sign off that their dance is school appropriate to make sure that the incidents that have occurred in the past, will stay in the past. As for students reading this, please sign this petition if you believe Hamilton Pep Rally dances should be brought back.

Thank you,

Hamilton Students
