Students of Maryville R-II: Just think of any time in Elementary school when you had a food party. Remember the excitement. Remember the people. Now think of how long it's been since you've had that. Even now, in High school, that feeling of relaxation and comfort that comes with a food party. Now, ripped away. You won't ever feel that same gleeful feeling ever again...unless you sign this petition. Food parties brought great cultural and social awakenings to our schools. They allowed us to be introduced to fellow students' culture and home traditions with food that may have been special to their families. Let's do our part to bring these parties back to our schools and reintegrate culture into our classrooms.
