As of right now, the Lucy Beckham prom is scheduled on a Thursday in April.  No one wants to have a prom on a Thursday and then have school the next day. Many sports have conflicts that weekend (i.e. lacrosse with states). Because there is school the next day, it is likely that we would have a shorter prom, which also no one wants. Students would also not be able to go out after with friends because we would have school the next day. This petition is to get the LBHS prom changed to a Friday on another week. We believe the first ever Lucy Beckham prom should be fun and done right.
