Accessible Campus for Diverse Students
This petition had 104 supporters
Despite the many changes Montclair State University has made in recent years, there are still areas of campus that are inaccessible to students with disabilities. Whether they be students/professors of disability or those who are just temporarily wheelchair-bound, there are multiple classrooms and areas of campus that just cannot be accessed by them, hindering their learning and creating a disconnect between students of disability and a campus that prides itself on being inclusive and diverse.
With this petition, I hope to stir up some change and advocate for these students by providing them with simple solutions such as more open desks in the classrooms (such as Dickson Hall) or ramps that provide more access to other areas of the building (Panzer Gymnasium), so that they are not restricted to sitting in the back and sides and they are able to learn with no hindrances.
