Hello I've been a moderator for over a year and have been staff since 5th January 2020.

I was originally held back from moderator because I'd had a seriously bad constant migraine which caused me to have to go to the hospital. I had 8 weeks worth of break which I was pressured into by my peers, mainly Ruben.

I was told that I wouldn't be able to be promoted with my activity, after having been the most unhealthily active support member the server had seen in ages, before the migraines started. Soon though, I worked hard and managed to get moderator. The mod promoted with me, Darren, was demoted quickly due to extremely abusive tendencies and I was left alone as the new mod.

Then BDFD Lead Staff War II began. Lewz had pushed the staff to their limits and the staff had had enough, planning behind his back to take him down for good and stop his tyrannous ways. I was offered a choice that day... I could support Lewz and he'd fight to get Gabe demoted so that I could take his place as a lead staff, or I could support my fellow staff members and charge for Ruben to replace Lewz. Selfishness, or selflessness. I knew that Ruben would make a much better lead staff than me, and that he'd spent a lot longer as staff. He'd supported me every step of my way during my time in BDFD, I needed to pay him back.

After the day was won and Lewz retired, Ruben and Gabe were the reigning champions.

I started to help out as much as I could with the transition, supporting Ruben as he helped me back. I gained my Toaster role, Ruben's old custom role, so that I could have special permissions. Everything was great.

Then I kept having arguments with Gabe. He'd act in ways that triggered me, and I'd argue. But one time that I did it, he renamed my Toaster role and gave it away so that I wouldn't be special anymore and so that I'd be upset. My activity dropped as I didn't want to do anything to help the person who'd annoyed me.

After a while, the leads promoted 2 users to trial mod. I helped get the first one demoted immediately, and eventually succeeded in stopping the second from abusing.

All during this time I'd been helping in the background, reporting things to Ruben that he may not have seen, and giving him tips.

At this point, I'm the most active and oldest moderator. I have way over 3,000 moderation actions and check each channel numerous times a day, keeping check on staff member's maturity and professionalism, then reporting back to Ruben when needed.

I'd love to be Lead Staff so that I can help Ruben manage the staff team more. I adore helping out, and BDFD as a server has taken over a majority of my days.
