UPDATE: Tomorrow is BC Hydro's deadline to disclose their vaccination status, or face being forced onto leave without pay. Many have yet to disclose and have a choice to make before 9:00 am tomorrow. I believe ending this is still possible.

BC Hydro has so far taken a position against mandating Covid-19 vaccines:

As employees of BC Hydro and/or members of IBEW Local 258, by signing this petition, we are strongly encouraging you to stand by the commitment above.

BC Hydro has thrived as it has gone to great lengths to expand inclusivity. To abandon these core principles now will most certainly have long-term and unintended consequences.

This is not about whether you are vaccinated or not. There are many reasons why one might feel either decision is safest for themselves and others. It is solely about respecting an individuals' rights to make their own personal medical decisions, and the right to keep those decisions private.
