Kill a bear, because we claimed her/his territory, even though she/ he harmed nobody..?
Humans are sick..

In early September, Plum, an innocent and friendly bear was shot and killed. A family had called 911 as she foraged for food in a fruit tree. If the community had secured their garbage, this would not have happened (Plum was attracted to the trash first). Plum is just one of many bears and wildlife to be euthanized - for human errors. We can stop this now. Make conservation officers do what their job entails; conserving the wildlife instead of destroying it.

This bear is on its own territory. It is humans that are intruding on its land. it should not be euthanised for being about in trees and woodland. It just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It didn't rear up on its hind legs and tear the head of this woman who was out running. If she had been five minutes earlier they would have missed each other! It looks as though it is curious and put its paw on her knee. I hope she was all right but I hope the bear gets left alone to wander its home area.

We need to stop killing animals for being curious about us in their homes. I'm grateful this lady wasn't hurt of course, but at the end of the day bears have existed for longer than Homosapiens; therefore WE are in their home. Bear spray is the best way to keep yourself safe while trail blazing, it costs $50 where I live and I have been out dozens of times without having to use it.
