Lokesh Srikantaiah started this petition to BBMP and

1st March 2020, a middle aged well built man, Usman, collapsed while walking in Lalbagh. We the people around could not revive him. We tried to carry him to a nearby health check post but it was very difficult and was abandoned half way. A medical person from the check post rushed towards us after some time and declared Usman dead. People around displayed great humanity and put Usman in an ambulance that arrived a few minutes later. A few Doctors who were walking came and checked too. Calls were made to his house after fiddling to open Usman's cell phone. Total time elapsed all together was around 30 minutes. Some observations here -
1. Lalbagh and Cubbon Park are two huge areas where a lot of people walk around, especially in the mornings & evenings. Emergency medical help must be available within minutes. Emergency contact numbers must be displayed prominently at regular intervals in the walking paths.
2. The medical person available in check post must have basic medical equipment like a stethoscope, BP and sugar monitor, etc.
3. A vehicle / ambulance must be available for such emergencies to transfer patients. Patients, especially those who have collapsed, cannot be carried around.
