Fix the potholes, traffic will take care of itself
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
Lets keep this short. It is going to rain every-year and roads and offices in Bangalore will be flooded unless the problems are FIXED! It doesn't rain January to December and there is ample time except for monsoons to address issues like potholes which are now claiming lives!
While BBMP claimed that it found 1969 potholes last year out of which 1440 were already fixed, the real numbers surely seem to have escalated to 16000. This recent news also sheds lights on the allotment of several crores of funds for flood related works but commuters know better!
"Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced on Monday that several crores of funds would be allotted for flood-related and desilting works in priority areas. This included ₹30 crore for K.R. Puram, ₹25 crore for H.S.R. Layout, ₹25 crore for Koramangala and ₹20 crore in Yeshwantpur. Another ₹20 crore has been allotted by the State government to procure two more robotic excavators to add to the three already in use in the city."
So here are the public demands:
1. Fix the potholes in 15 days, as promised, the deadlines for which is 25th October 2017.
2. Build better roads, better drainage system and efforts to relocate bus stops near traffic signals in next 6 months.
3. Continual public announcements on the progress of the promised timelines.
