Leaks revealed that the BBC are considering a male-only line up for the morning after the general election, on its flagship radio news programme, Today.

If Nick Robinson and John Humphreys are permitted to host the breakfast show on the most important political day of the year, with no female contribution from either of the two women presenters (one of whom has served longer than Robinson or Webb on the programme) then the broadcaster ought to concede that despite great progress in some aspects of the profession for women, it doesn't matter how good you are, the loudest, bullying male will be rewarded for those qualities and as a woman you will be disadvantaged even at the top of your game.

Make Sarah Montague or Michal Hussain co-presenter on the election day broadcast of Today. Better yet - have them co-present together.
