Darts, Phil the power Taylor. Paul Lawrie beating Jean Van De Velde in the pga. The Davis vs Taylor or Hendry vs White snooker finals. Henry Cooper v Cassius Clay memorable clash. Torvill and Dean ice skating. Wiggins or Hoy on their bikes. Motor sport victories with Nigel Mansell, James Hunt and of course Lewis Hamilton. Shakey Byrne, Carl Fogarty supervise championships and yes Even Eddie the Eagle Edwards To enthuse the British public and lift our spirits.
