BAYVIEW HUNTERS POINT RESIDENTS DEMAND ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE!
CLEAN UP ALL RADIOACTIVE AND TOXIC WASTE AT THE SHIPYARD!
We, the undersigned residents of Bayview Hunters Point, demand:
- New and comprehensive testing of the entire original Shipyard site including parcels that have been transferred to the City and Lennar/FivePoint.
- Core sampling, not just scanning, must be conducted and there must be independent community oversight.
- Comprehensive cleanup - not capping - of all radioactive and toxic waste at the Superfund Site and adjacent areas to prevent further pollution of our community and the Bay where rising sea levels threaten to flood the contamination.
