That's just very very wrong, that's some of the most important bonding time you have with your newborn baby. They act like they don't have anyway to know that obviously if you come in together and your partner's then you're not sick why would they be sick? And if they've been there with you until 2 hours after delivery, then they would obviously see signs of you being sick if that was the case that's just ridiculous. You need to have that bonding time with your baby, that is so very important! It's ridiculous

I’m signing because my son just had a baby. His daughter was born 2 months early and he had to leave the hospital cuz only one parent can stay. To me that’s wrong!!! Who knows how long he will be away from his daughter.

Please support other Petition of this happening in other states. At the time of me writing this post I was able to find other petitions for other states. As these post may not allow website links here are the titles:
"Allowing Spouses in Labor & Delivery" for NJ.
"Support our community. Stop the closure of Labor and Delivery" for CA
"Right to labor and post partum support" for MA
"I Deserve Birth Support!! Birth support for Labor, Delivery & Post Partum" for CA
Any many more. On the change.org website search: labor delivery
And you'll find many more families reaching out for support in this covid-19 crisis
Please support all future families by voting for all of these.

I worked for Motherhood for many years, talked with so many expectant mom’s, and I am a mom myself. I can’t imagine having a clock tick while something so wonderful and joyous was about to happen even during these tough, unprecedented times. One person should be allowed to stay the entire time. Period. If you want to make a policy about that person staying in the room or other contingencies around their continued stay, fine, but don’t make new moms go through this wonderful occasion in this way. I sincerely hope my signature helps any woman choosing to deliver at Baystate. Nobody should have to hunt for a new hospital due to policy, especially since Baystate has such wonderful care.

My family and friends are directly impacted by this covid19 implement.
I myself as a. Other of 5, could not beat the thought of not having my patented there during childbirth. Also, if my love in partner was there before childbirth, and will be upon return of home, I’m trying to understand how this decreases odds of transmitting sickness. The mother would be considered a carrier, and be receiving close proximity of care during her stay!

I'm signing because not only is this nonsense--if they were already there, they should be able to stay--but is inhumane, inconsiderate, and unnecessary!!!
