Richard Henebery started this petition to bayside city council

Peterson St Reserve facilities, specifically the rooms/buildings are not up to scratch and must be made a priority for redevelopment by Bayside City Council.  It is a facility that we all know and one many of us use & enjoy.  It is also home to key sporting clubs who utilise it for both senior and junior competition.  Unfortunately, it has been forgotten by council when so many other local club & community facilities have been modernised in recent times. The 3 buildings within the Peterson St Reserve precinct remain at 1970s standards, are in very poor condition & must be improved ASAP.  They are not conducive to families, growth of the local area or the sporting teams. And many teams do not even want to go inside, preferring to prepare outside. Importantly as they stand, they are unacceptable to attract & host female teams which I know both the local cricket & football clubs are very keen to explore.  Simply put, the facilities are sub standard and need urgent attention.

I am seeking the support of the local community to petition Bayside City Council so they reconsider their current position and commit to a plan to move this project up the priority ladder and have the Peterson St Reserve redevelopment brought forward to 2023 at the latest.  Current rumours are that it has been earmarked for works in 2025-27 which we as a local community cannot accept.
