As proud Bay Path University seniors of the class of 2020, we write to you asking to commemorate our senior week sometime this summer/early fall. We ask this because we feel as though we have been robbed of our final celebrations. We have all worked SO hard to get to where we are. We all have different stories on how we did it. And for that, we all feel that we deserve to enjoy our time with our fellow classmates one last time.

The activities we are asking for include all of what our senior week would of consisted of, Gala, award ceremonies, athletics activities and recognition, musical arts, theatre activities and recognition etc.

Let’s make it easy and have a make-shift Gala outside or in Blake. We can have one big ceremony where we simply and quickly honor each person who was supposed to receive some sort of award or recognition for their hard work, including both athletics, musical arts, and theatre. Our senior trip can go on as planned. We can have one last bingo night or karaoke night or trivia night. This is a week where seniors can possibly be invited back into the dorms for just one week of fun, celebration, and goodbyes.

In other words, we ask that instead of a “Welcome Week” from when we first started here, we get a “Farewell Week” in honor of all the obstacles hurdled and accomplishments made.

Note: We all would like to thank anyone and everyone (especially Dean Ann) who has helped to make this extremely difficult time, a little bit easier. We thank you for all the updates to help ease our minds. We thank you for postponing our commencement and not just canceling it. But most of all, we thank each and every faculty member for making a change in our lives and who will forever be in hearts as we continue our future endeavors.
