Implement Height Limitations And Restrictions For Tourist Helicopters On Carillon Beach

I am writing to you in regards to the commercial riding helicopters that take off near Pier Park and fly right along Carillon Beach, and then do their turn around and then go right back.
If you've been on the beach the past couple of years, I am sure you will notice that the helicopters are extremely loud and invasive to our privacy. Now with the crash of this helicopter, it shows how dangerous the situation could be for owners and guests.
Therefore, I am starting this petition, which I hope you will sign. With this petition, we can request our county representative to take action and we can also go before the PCB City Council to express our displeasure because these helicopters are taking off from Panama City Beach. To start, we can propose commercial tourist helicopters must be 2,000 yards from the shoreline and triple current height allowance.
In many tourist areas, such as Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Hawaii, and California, there are restrictions on helicopters and how close they can come to the shoreline. The helicopters may be within their legal rights at present, but this is what we need to get changed. To keep them higher and further off shore to prevent them from being a disruptive nuisance and danger to our community.
