Currently the Bath Community Schools has a very minimal plan in place for Covid-19 at our schools. Masks are not required. They do contact tracing, but only act on it if the children are presenting symptoms. We need to be our children's voice and let our schools representatives know we are not happy. Our kids deserve a safe place to go and learn with their peers. 

Masks need to be mandated for all at our schools including staff. When kids are called down for contact tracing because they were by someone who tested positive for covid, they need to go home and quarantine/self isolate. If children/staff are vaccinated they should have to do the same or present a negative covid test in order to return. 

That is just the beginning. There are many other procedures that I think they should also take a look at. No plan will please everyone, but a strong implemented plan helping to slow the spread and keep our kids safe is the plan we are in need of. No more bare minimum requirements. Our kids deserve better. Our COMMUNITY deserves better! If you have a loved one who attends or works at Bath Community Schools please consider signing this petition. Let our voices be heard as we scream we will no longer except a plan that doesn't meet the requirements to keep our kids safe! We will no longer sit around and wait to see if our child is the one who will suffer from this deadly disease. They deserve better and our school officials can do BETTER!
