We are on the verge of a turning point, movielovers... In the new world order of 2022, we have let COVID-19 stop determining our lives and streaming services have grown to their full potential in 2021. Winners & losers have been determined and are going to be announced in the coming months. This has his impact on content today.

There is a lot of content out there in popular culture today: from female superheroes old & young to black, muslim, Asian, etc. But still not enough stories have been told! The story of a latino superhero, for example, scheduled to come out with Leslie Grace's Batgirl but also Xolo Maridueña's Blue Beetle. Both of them are axed due to strategic decisions by Warner Bros Discovery. What are we getting in return? Correct, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Aquaman 2 & Black Adam, both mainly caucasian in it's setup. Not to mention The Batman 2 which I hope will become more diverse... Is Hollywood going white again after years of #BlackLivesMatter & #MeToo?

Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah are talentfull directors, shown their worth in Hollywood with Bad Boys for Life but also Ms Marvel who might have one of the lowest viewership rating in Marvel history, but was very bold in its progressive storytelling, not finding the correct place in the hearts of MCU-fans worldwide. It's a part of them to shake up the world, trying to change mainstream perspective, ever since they brought forward BLACK who was not without controverse in Brussels, the 'hellhole' of Europe, in all controversy causing riots in its first days. Will Smith saw this, giving them a shot in Hollywood with great success. And the producers of Batgirl saw this as well, believing the duo could bring new inspiration to the latino content thanks to the strong latin American community in the Capital of Europe.

As people with diverse backgrounds from The Maghreb, they have it in them to tell inclusive stories for superheroes who haven't been told. We want to see this, Belgium wants to see this, muslim & latino communities want to see this, the DC-fans want to see Batgirl come to live (in a movie of a series), hence we urge Warner Bros Discovery CEO to reconsider canceling Batgirl & Blue Beetle.
