I’ve been in touch with the parish council regarding a basketball court to be incorporated on Great Horkesley village green for the local teenagers to use as I feel it would be great for there physical and mental needs. 
I’ve been a resident of Great Horkesley for over 15 years and it’s become apparent that the the children very quickly grow out of the park equipment as is designed for children up to the age of 12. I feel it’s time to ask the local villagers there views on this. 
I’ve decided to start this petition and once I have a large amount of support I’ll present it to Colchester council as I’ve been informed they own the jubilee green.
