Affordable Insulin for Type One Diabetics
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
I am a Type One Diabetic of 12 years. I have been fortunate enough to have been insured throughout this ordeal. My medication, insulin, has only cost my family a small copay of about $20 every time my prescription is refilled. Others are not as fortunate as I have been. The cost of insulin without insurance reaches up to $1000 a month just to live. There are people who have to choose between paying their rent or paying for their life saving medication. I, along with two of my fellow classmates, am doing a research project on the skyrocketing price of insulin over these past years and we hope to enact change to help less fortunate families provide care for their children and for themselves without having to sacrifice basic human necessities, such as food and shelter. Please sign this petition and help stop the pharmaceutical industry from targeting people with illnesses in order to gain profit.
