In this uncertain time during the COVID pandemic, a lot of SDSU students were negatively affected physically, economically, and most importantly academically. On top of that, limited to none office hours, help sessions, and group activities and studying, and much more are affecting students' regular grades.   

Additionally, with the rapid rise of infection and death rate in South Dakota in recent weeks, students are very much concerned regarding their health and academics. A lot of state schools including NC State, Texas A&M, U Central Florida, U Nevada, etc. with much lower infection rate than South Dakota have already decided to make S/U grade option, besides regular grades, for Fall-2020 semester.

So we urge SDSU to join the rest of the public schools in the country, so that a significant portion of students in SDSU don't get disadvantaged academically compared to the rest of the country for this semester.
