In Baltimore County (others as well) the trash & recycle removal services are maintained & provided through payment of their county taxes. However, Harford County residents don't have this common sense practice. Consequently, the residents have to find & employ their own company for these same services.  

Way prior to COVID, Harford County had struggled to sustain their trash/recycling companies.  In fact, over the years, many have gone out of business or been sold.  Subsequently, now the VERY few options (GFL/Waste Industries & Bartenfelder), are providing VERY unpredictable, inconsistent, and unreliable services promoting rodent infestation throughout the area.  Matter of factly, I know of one development now having mice/rats entering homes and crawling in baby cribs.  

We know COVID has changed our doings of normal things making it challenging.  Trash/recycle companies & their workers are essential.  The staff/collectors often share a small truck cabin with 2-3 workers (most without masks).  

It has been and more so become an infuriating, frustrating, highly inadequate, and laughable necessary service.  A new working protocol HAS to be developed, enforced, and maintained.
