Hi all,

Thanks for reading.. I am trying to gain as much support as possible in my mission to protect the land behind my house from getting slaughtered for houses. The council have planned to build 30 odd houses, a mixture of bungalows and  3-4 bed townhouses. This sadly will result in the area being flattened, including established hedgerow and trees housing a multitude of creatures, birds and other wildlife. This area also acts as a thoroughfare between protected green belt spaces allowing larger mammals (foxes, badgers, deer) a safe passageway avoiding roads and other dangers. The trees and hedges are rife with nesting birds and in itself the area is a small ecosystem on our back door. It’s value to local wildlife is immeasurable. But it is also important to recognise the positive effect this has on the community’s mental health, living so close to nature.
Myself and a few other dedicated neighbours would like to try to protect this habitat and I would greatly appreciate your signature to add a little power behind our voices.
many thanks
