As a former editor of the CrUWSible, I know how vital the publications officer, Kim, is to the production. The truth is, without her the paper would never go to print. Don't gut the full time support of the student paper! Reverse the cuts, keep WSUP staffed!

I'm incredibly disappointed with UWS yet again. The university continuously ignores positive investments toward quality education, sustainability, and student engagement, and instead, focuses entirely on its economic outlook. Thousands of books donated from a Sydney university were buried under rubble at Campbelltown campus, an adjunct professor who had dedicated his life to passing on his knowledge and guiding others was removed with detriment to post-graduate students and their projects despite student concerns, EarthCare centre located on the Hawkesbury campus was planned to be torn down despite the university's alleged commitment to increasing sustainability, staff have felt utterly unsupported with a majority of temporary contracts that those who can have found work elsewhere, staffing policies were changed in the last few years to make it permissible to fire a member of staff if they spoke unfavourably of the university, an increasing number of elective units have been culled, students have been forced to take core units from other degree fields or to complete core units by distance despite registering for full-time study on campus, a member of staff admitted to my degree being particularly poorly designed, IT systems are so poorly maintained that e-forms were unable to function using university computers, Student Central is so swamped with unhappy students that it can sometimes take 2 months to receive an email response, the university invested an exorbitant amount of finance into luring new students to UWS with the promise of free iPads with close to no infrastructure, structure, or guidance for teachers and students; and not forgetting to mention spending millions on rebranding the university to something so thoroughly considered that searching for WSU on Facebook shows a similar logo with identical colour scheme for another university with the abbreviation WSU. All of these decisions were made to the detriment of students. All of these actions were taken without any insight or consideration for the purpose nor the expectations of students. Every time the university announces a decision without relevant student input, without accountability or transparency, without understanding or consideration or thought toward the core mandate of the university itself; people lose faith. I have spent every year of being enrolled at UWS actively advising potential students to study elsewhere. When students who go on international exchange programs tell you that it was the best decision they ever made during their time at UWS, believe them. Getting out from UWS and experiencing a good university with secure staff who have the resources for high quality teaching, a university that invests in real action, that cares about the students who come through the doors each day and not just the money their enrolment guarantees - I highly recommend it. Fuck UWS. If it's not too late, study somewhere else.

When University beaurocrats, whose power allows them the delight of taking advantage of liberties, at the expense of student liberties, regardless of how incremental they are, they need to be attacked, as if they are bleeding the whole student body of freedoms!

I believe this paper is integral to our community of students as it bridges the gap between not only students thenselves but students and educators as well
