Going to school and growing up in the Finchley area, Horace was a permanent fixture and a memorable character, who deserves a permanent public memorial.

He was a really lovely man, will never forget him but feel a memorial should be there so that everyone can remember him. Always wished us "the best of luck!".

Because he was part of the fabric of Finchley and it would make thousands of people happy to see a memorial or bench as a tribute to this unique soul.

i remember him as a young boy going to school in East Finchley in the 1970's and then watching him grow up. He was always a colourful character and, not knowing his name I always referred to him as 'Laughing Boy'.
