Allow Barclays Bank customers to withdraw cash at Post Office.
Allow Barclays Bank customers to withdraw cash at Post Office.
Why this petition matters

Barclays Bank are to withdraw from the universal banking agreement to allow customers to withdraw cash from their accounts at Post Offices. All other banks have agreed a new agreement from January 2020 for 3 Years.
Barclays have said one can use shops to get cash but this is limited to £50 a time and you have to buy something to use this facility.
Barclays also say one can use a link machine to withdraw cash. Many actually charge you for this.
This must be stopped as it will mean so many people in the country will have to travel many miles if they want to withdraw cash. As an example I will have to travel between 8-11 miles to a Barclays branch by car. I do have a link machine in the village but they charge £1.35 per transaction.
Barclays have not stated why they are stopping this cash withdrawal facility. This withdrawal must be a cost issue as they will continue to allow people to pay into their Barclays account through the Post Office but not withdraw cash at the Post Office.
Barclays Bank agreed a while back that they would ensure their customers would be able to access their account in full via the Post Office where Barclays had no representative. This has been confirmed by my MP.
This seems to be a large corporation wanting to impose their wishes on ordinary people.
Please can you support this petition and try to get Barclays to change their minds.
