Barbers Hill ISD does not count medical absences as an excuse to miss an exam. Imagine missing an entire week, month, etc. and fail to keep a passing grade due to missing the amount of knowledge lost in the time you were gone. Of course, you could always make up the work, but for along period of time, that isn’t the case with some students. Some students that could benefit from this are kids with syndromes (like Tourette’s) learning afflictions, mental health issues, and so many more. By reaching our goal, we will present this to Dr. Greg Poole in order to place a change over Barbers Hill ISD and it’s exemption rules.
