FaceBook just did a FacePlant. The people they banned were nutjobs, but that's not the point. The scary part was that FaceBorg actually banned people based on not just what they said on Facebook, but other sites as well. So the FaceBook Police were actually doing research on people outside their site. Clearly they were doing Stasi-type files on them, which contained more than just FaceBook activities. God help us if big website people like this get hold of Gmail or Amazon buy lists. Time to just stop this.

With the Net and its various social and civic platforms we are now in the realm of the public commons. The days must come to an end where the owners of networks such as facebook or google can arbitrarily, capriciously or selectively exclude users intrude on a citizen's privacy or otherwise manipulate us under cover of "ownership".

Corporations get their power by exploiting the skewing of the risk/reward ratio. When individuals get free of the liabilities posed by their actions, they can pursue profits much more rigorously than individuals. Defining corporations, as individuals with individual rights, furthers the skewing. Still it is the pursuit of money, rather than happiness, or liberty or life, that is at the bottom of our problems... Dr. Bob

Because we live in a BF Skinner experiment diorama scripted long in advance by Prewll and Huxley. If we do not do something now, then nothing will be done as all of this becomes part of the new kinder, gentler world.

When I was young I wanted to change the world. That was close to 70 years ago. Now I know it's more important to not let the world now enslaved, change me.
