Im signing because I've lived in Charleston for 4 years and have learned about the impact this team has had on the community here in Charleston and the opportunities these brave men have created for future generations to play baseball. These men who played on this team helped African American boys be allowed to play little league baseball and go to the championships in the 1950s. They also shaped what little league baseball has become and made it equal for all races.

I'm signing because it is the right thing to do! They deserve it! In my college class we just learned about these brave, amazing athletes.

I would love to see this young men get recognized. It would be poetic justice to be recognized at the a White House by an African-American president after being denied just a chance to compete because of the color of their skin.

These young men set an example which should be emulated 60 years later. In spite of undeserved indignities, they pursued their individual dreams.

I am signing this Petition, because my family member was the third baseman. His name was Carl Johnson. I would love to know more about the history. If this was to take place at the White House, I would love to be a part of that and also my children.
