President Obama,
We are concerned citizens who have seen evidence that the Trump administration is likely moving forwarding on re-implementing the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (NSEERS).
During your presidency, you have already suspended NSEERS. But it has not been eliminated. We urge you to work to eliminate NSEERS so that Donald Trump and people like Kris Kobach are not given a readymade framework to restart this discriminatory program. This program will likely not just be used for security, but as a way to deport Muslim immigrants by creating complicated processes and steps they must undergo to keep their citizenship. This has already been witnessed in the past.
Not to mention, NSEERS hasn't worked to stop or convict anyone of terrorism acts, so it's ineffective on that front.
Please act now to eliminate NSEERS.
