I'm signing because RJ Mitchell was the "father" of the Spitfire, the aircraft that was arguably, the savior of modern civilization in the dark, early days of World War II.

The Spitfire didn't just save Britain. Together with the Hurricane it was instrumental in stopping the Krauts from taking over all of Europe. Had the BoB been lost, we'd all be speaking German by now. Not just Britain, but the entire free world owes Reginald Mitchell an unmeasurable debt of gratitude.
