Bank of America needs a CARD SECURED ATM for pedestrians in South Shore.

We have noticed an alarming procedure that vehicle free pedestrians have to partake in when conducting business transactions after banking hours. After business hours customers who are walking or riding bikes have to stand in line with cars in order to handle their transactions. This practice is dangerous, embarrassing, intrusive and unprofessional. Children and families are being put at risk when they have to conduct personal business transactions while standing in front of mobile vehicles. It's unpredictable, startling and insensitive when you approach an ATM and community members are standing in the stalls. Therefore, we are asking that surveillance cameras, reflective mirrors and a card-secured door entry be installed at your facility located at 7131 S. Stony Island. The Bank of America located at 1439 E. 53rd st. in Hyde Park has fewer patrons but they manage to have a card-secured entry that is accessible 24 hours a day. The South Shore community deserves to have the same amenities and safety measures as our neighboring communities. We know that each neighborhood has different needs and that client-centered decisions are the responsibility of the businesses nested in the community. If you are committed to our community just as we are committed to trusting your institution with our financial needs, please install a card-secured ATM to improve our safety! The people who have signed this petition are in agreeance with our request.
