Bangladeshi Gun Violence Women Justice

Bangladeshi Gun Violence Women Justice
Bangladeshi Women face regular oppression in their relationships through domestic abuse and violence. This violence is not talked about within Bangladesh as Women are punished if they attempt to speak out on the issue. To protect women, Bangladesh should open shelters in its districts so that Women have a safe place to go to if their facing oppression. This petition is to force the Bangladesh government to work with concerned donor governments such as Amnesty International, activists, and the UN to conduct an audit of currently available shelters, disseminate this information, and commit to the opening at least one shelter in each of Bangladesh's 67 districts by 2025. Shelters should remove restrictions that limit their accessibility, such as requiring court orders to stay there or restricting the presence of children. No woman or girl should ever have to "just endure" violence because there is nowhere else to go. The Bangladesh government should ensure that legal aid is reaching women and girls in need and that they are aware of their rights. Additionally, a lot of women in Bangladesh suffer from oppression through gun violence and as Lambert Amnesty International through our ActivismX Campaign we would like to help stop this!
