In 2019 the Government set an objective for England to be smoke free by 2030.  Fifteen years ago on 1st July 2007, it became illegal to smoke in a pub, restaurant, nightclub and most work places and work vehicles in England.

Scotland led the way in this and had already introduced the smoking ban in Scotland March 2006 - Wales and Northern Ireland April 2007.

Why is it normal practise for our children to be allowed to Vape in School toilets and in the school grounds and nothing done about it? What are we teaching our children?

It is banned in all other public places but School toilets are full of smoke. We have a smoking pandemic of flavoured Vapes and I know of children who have tried and some continuing to use Vapes.  The NHS is on its knees as it is and we don't need to pushing our children with smoking issues from 1st year!  We have to show our children, that like adults, as they grow towards adult life that there is consequences for your actions. School's are a public place, a council owned building.  

I ask all you parents out there to ban smoking in school and school grounds, whether it be a vape or cigarette and it has to be monitored regularly with consequences of those caught or failing to abide by the rules. Please, it's our children's future we are thinking about.
