Ban Tomatina festival in Hyderabad

Jai jawaan, jai kisaan, bhaad mein jaaye bhookha insaan?

Hyderabad is getting ready to host the event 'La Tomatina' event in the Lake View Resort, Moinabad, Hyderabad on August 11, 2013, where people are invited to hurl and throw tomatoes at each other, organizing by Rockwell events and other supporters of theirs.

Wasting precious food must not become a part of our culture in India while there are millions of Indians that go hungry every day. We must stop the La Tomatina festival in Hyderabad to be held on 11th August 2013, at Lake View Resorts, Moinabad. They've been banned in Delhi, Karnataka, Mysore, Chennai, Gujarat, West Bengal due to public protest and we can ban it Hyderabad.

The India State Hunger Index (ISHI) reports that 17 states in India come under the alarming hunger index. We are not rich like the Spanish and nor do we have a culture or history of such a festival.

Let's call on our Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. N Kiran Kumar Reddy, to stand up for justice, safety and conservation and to ban this event and all related events. Sign this petition!

Lets get 2000 people to sign this petition within the next 2 days before the main event on the 11th of August 2013, so we can deliver it to the Chief Minister and have him ban these wasteful parties.

Please call on these numbers of organizers and ask them to stop the event.

Ban La Tomatina festival in Hyderabad

People are dying with hunger and Farmers are committing suicides; and
wasting the tomatoes, water, etc for their personal benefits and making business out through it is totally unethical. Understanding the situation India is facing right now, with the rapid growth in the cost hikes of the vegetables, how could you encourage allowing these kind of events.

La Tomatina events had already banned in Bangalore, Karnataka, West Bengal, Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat and many other places. Why are we allowing in Hyderabad?

We demand to stop the event right away.

Thanks!
