Call me a Karen. I'll gladly embrace the title for noise this obnoxious. As if gas leaf blowers delivering the most intensely disruptive level of noise pollution isn't enough, these machines are also absolutely disgusting contributors to pollution and the environment. And to make matters even worse, they are generally used for hours on end, with multiple motors blaring simultaneously, and from multiple surrounding houses. Some homeowners demand their lawns be kept so leaf-free that they have these obnoxious leaf-blowers going almost every single day, for months on end. During the spring, summer, and fall, not a day goes by without the nerve racking sounds and acrid smells these gas-dumping machines deliver, for hours upon hours. This sadly also includes weekends, and holidays. And during the summer months, with longer days, and outdoor parties, I've heard them even after 8 pm. until sundown. It's inconsiderate to our neighbors and is unacceptable. When they come for my lawn, they come once a year, and I'm cringing the whole time for the neighbors. There needs to be another way. The gas leaf blowers are recklessly noisy, an environmental disgrace, and simply put, like many surrounding towns have succeeded in doing, should be banned without hesitation.
