The Color Purple is known as a movie that is loaded with misandry, or hatred towards black men. It's message paints black men as villains, and is completely fiction. The black male image is under attack on all fronts, and the remake of the movie will add to this attack. Our goal is to remove the misandry from the remake, or remove the film from being released altogether. The release date is set for December 2023.
