Nigerian federal universities and state owned universities has been on strike for more than 4 months now. This has kept students at home with no hopes of when they are going to finish their studies. This staying at home has several negative effects on our youths, some have taken to drugs, prostitution, fraud, robbery because an idea mind is certainly the devil's workshop! Our government officials starting from the least to the highest don't care about this situation, they are not sincere in providing funds for our universities, our universities is nothing short of a glorified secondary school; inadequate/backward equipment, dilapidated hostels/classrooms and laboratories and poor welfare packages for lecturers. This situation is persisting because their children, relations don't attend these universities so it's common sense not to bother about solving this decay. They use Nigerians money to fund their children abroad USA, AUSTRALIA, UK and other parts of Europe because they don't believe in Nigerian university education due to the aforementioned. This petition is to ban all government officials from sending their children abroad for studies, if this happens it will make them to take care of our universities for Nigerian citizens including their kids. Students/lecturers who have been at home for more than 4 months will go back to school.
