Ban single-use plastic in California

Recently, the EU had banned single-use plastic in an effort to stop the pollution in the ocean and the pollution of our environment. Single-use plastics are things like: drinking straws, soft drink lids, plastic bottles, plastic bags, single-use coffee pods (K-Cups, etc.), and disposable utensils. Being the largest state on the West Coast, there is an astronomical amount of trash that ends up in the ocean. Once in the ocean, fish and other sea creatures can eat it thinking it is food can die because of plastic buildup. If they do not die because of the buildup, people might eat the fish and ingest the plastic. This can lead to many complications in life because plastic is toxic to humans. We need to move to ban single-use plastics from daily use, just as Europe did.
