Ban required on manufacture, sale and consumption of pan masala and its variants in Bengal

All the efforts, that the West Bengal state government, is putting in the city’s beautification, would not be highlighted unless the roads look clean and less polluted. States like Kerela, Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, Punjab have already put a ban on pan masala and its variants and are keeping clean, but Bengal lags. We would like to know, why the govt. have not yet declared a ban on these stuffs and are only allowing our city to get more polluted and dirtier day-by-day.
People who are addicted to pan masala, keep consuming such stuff all the day, and litter the packets on the roads, and then they also spit the juice here and there, creating spots on the roads and spoiling the environment. One would find maximum garbage on footpaths because of these stuffs.
It looks very bad to see small children getting into the habit of eating such things because it does no benefit to the consumer, rather they're harmful, because they contain tobacco and nicotine.
Hence, we request for a necessarily stringent action at the earliest to declare a ban on manufacture, sale and consumption of pan masala, gutkha, zarda and its variants, so that we can ensure that these substances are not available in black also. And over a period of time, we would see Kolkata, much cleaner and people with better eating habits.
