!!! We are seeking signatures to ban non resident bicyclists from our subdivision.  Our subdivision is a family oriented community with many children, elderly residents and pets.  Their safety has become an issue due to the increase of non resident bicyclists riding through our neighborhood.  Our subdivision is not a bike trail, nor do we have any bike lanes in the neighborhood.  These cyclists ride 3-4 abreast on narrow streets with blind curves, no sidewalks and very little shoulder areas for them to ride on.

We have had several close calls with these cyclists resulting in near accidents.  We have also had several instances where they have come off their bikes into our driveways and  leaving behind trash such as water bottles, wrappers etc...

The police department does not enforce any laws regarding this activity therefore it continues week after week.   We feel that if we can get enough signatures then maybe we can get something done about this problem before someone gets hurt by one of these careless bikers!!!
