The Anfal genocide was a genocide that killed between 50,000 and 182,000 Kurds. Today, Erdagon and his Western allies are repeating history once again.

Over 11,000 Kurds lost their lives while only protecting those that couldn't defend themselves - innocent civilians. This is the nature of Kurds. 

Amid the lawlessness of war, the Kurds always stuck with their ethics and discipline, unlike many other non state actors. They built a system of good governance based on small government, pluralism, and diversity. 

The very same people that protected the world from ISIS are now on the brink of another ethnic genocide. Erdogan and his allies are determined to enact ethnic cleansing committed by against the Kurds, and the Zoroastrians.

The Kurdish people are now standing with their chests bare to face the Turkish knives. Further, Erdogan has publicly stated that Zoroastrians are of no use and are "Kafars" and thus justifies their genocide and ethnic cleansing. 

Throughout history, Zoroastrianism has been known as the first Ethical Religion, founded by Zarathushtra about 4000 years ago. The greatest genocide in the history of mankind of the Persians by Islam-Arabs, took place 1400 years ago, followed by the first mass refugee migration of the Persians to India. The Zoroastrian faith is built on the pillars of equality for all, justice, love and peace. The faith's main teachings are how to think the good thought, speak the good word, and perform good deeds.

The hope is that the young generation understand that there is no novelty in war and genocide. We are all a part of one human species and we are all vulnerable to their great threat that looms upon us.

The invasion by Turkey and the existential threat its attack poses for the Kurdish people is beyond believable. These genocides have happened before, to the Zoroastrians by Arab Muslims, to Jews by the Nazis and now will we let this happen again in the 21st century?

Global peace is in the hands of women. We appeal to mothers, wives, sisters to stop their children and spouses from going to war.
