The City of Kingston recently undid a law which banned backyard firepits. They rewrote the law claiming they consulted the public fairly and with due notice despite the majority of residents unaware of the proposed law change. The City of Kingston claim that there was strong support, 75%, for allowing backyard fire pits, however this petition will likely prove otherwise. There are 167,228 City of Kingston residents, only approx. 1% got a say in this law change.
