Most teenagers vape because they like the flavour, so banning these sweet  flavours can take away their interest in vaping. Therefore vaping will be used for its intended purpose which is to serve as an alternative to smoking.

According to a research, teenagers who used sweet flavors were also taking more puffs at the six-month mark: an average of 3.1 puffs per vaping episode, compared with 1.5 puffs for those who used traditional or flavourless options.

In another study, "the top reasons current vapers gave for vaping were they liked the flavours/taste and they enjoyed vaping with their friends (both 59%).”

"Around 7 in 10 ever vapers (68%) used only a sweet flavour in their last vape. This was followed by students who didn’t know what flavour they used (11%).”

This petition is a call for a policy change in banning sweet flavoured vapes for retail including Specialist Vape Retailer to reduce the youth attraction to vaping. In turn, this will create a more sustainable future by improving the health of our nation.
