My son was dealing with bullying,  mental and physical abuse at a school with administrators present. "Bammel middle school" in Houston Texas.  "Spring ISD"  Going to the school to meet with the principal as well as administrator of the school voicing my concern fell on deaf ears. On May 19, 2017 my son Gregory Bedford III skipped school because of an incident involving money, which resulted in him receiving threats. On this day I arrived early to his school to pick him up.  Only for him to never arrive to my car as he did the entire week. I went home because I noticed via the ADT app, that someone was and had been in the house all day. Upon arrival,  I had gone up stairs because I heard the television only to have found my son Gregory laying dead from gunshot to the head. That following Monday, May 22, 2017 I spoke to the principal after she reached out to send condolences. She asked if they were able to have a memorial on that Wednesday May 24, 2017 and releasing of balloons in memory of my son Gregory on that Thursday May 25, 2017, I said yes, She stated that she'll get back to me with the details.  Wednesday comes and the day is almost over, no call. A family member went to the school to see what was going on.  He was pulled into the library by the 2 principals 8th grade and the over all principal, they stated that, the district superintendent told them that this was too much of a late notice and that the school couldn't host such a thing,  they had other concerns that needed to be handled. Family left and we heard nothing else from the school.  At the ceremony for the 8th graders my son's name was never mentioned. It's like he never existed. Proper training should be implemented asap with everyone at the school.  What's the purpose of having counselors and other administrators present if their only concern is district testing. School is suppose to be a safe place for all. The children are suppose to have people in place to talk to when need be. As well as staff should be trained to identify concerning behavior. Suicide, low self-esteem, bullying is real and plays a big part in our children's lives.  They go hand and hand. Stop the hate, stop the bullying,  intervene,  beware. Each one teach one
