We are trying to help students of this generation have a better chance of a higher gpa, a better chance of graduating and succeeding in their educational endeavors. This year was very complicated and stressful for many students not only in Baltimore City but the entire world. Many students grades dropped drastically due to online learning.

Here are some quotes from Student of Baltimore City struggling in online School:

Amony Wilson: “When I was in school, I had my friends as motivation and my teachers to help when I get distracted. I have trouble paying attention and being at home doesn’t help to focus me. While at home my grades have dropped from A’s to F’s in a matter of 9 months due to the pandemic.”

Nevaeh McCoy: “My trade, Child Care, was a very important class to me as I love children. I was doing very well in that class but due to the pandemic and distance learning I am now failing. This years grades shouldn’t count because of the unfair circumstances and challenges that is being placed upon students.”

Jania Ware: “I am now in high school (9th grade) and I have never seen the inside of my school building as I am transitioning from middle to high school. I had 3.8 gpa when school first let out and my gpa has dropped to below 2.6. This years grades shouldn’t count because many students learn better in person.”

These are just a few of students whose grades are suffering this year.

Students and Parents are being affected by this situation.

Shatia Ware: “All children deserve one on one interactions with their teachers and peers and by having them at home with virtual learning it has hindered them from showing their full potential and I am almost certain that the success rate of passing students had depleted. Give our children the fair chance they deserve to succeed.”

Ronald Wilson: “While my child was in school she participated in more school activities and had a better attitude towards school overall. This school year has changed her outlook on school totally and has made me realize how terrible this situation is. This year should not be counted because it has caused many students depression, anxiety, thoughts of suicide and many other mental and emotional problems.”

If we get enough signatures we can get the attention of the school board and get them to disregard this school years grades. Please help us get this noticed by the school board.
