We must do better. Every dancer regardless of race should be on the stage. Too long have we shut POC out of the opportunities white people take for granted.

Getting rid of racist ballets like The Nutcracker should also be a part of this petition. It culturally appropriates and exploits many both Chinese and Arabian culture and includes racist characters. This should not be celebrated and just changing choreography in the segments of it isn’t going to cut it. It’s still stereotypical and racist.
