Let’s keep the memory of Ian Clough alive
The Ian Clough Hall was named as a memorial to one of Baildon’s own. A famous mountaineer, Ian lost his life climbing the South Face of Annapurna in 1970 while taking part in an expedition led by Sir Chris Bonington.
With the forthcoming demolition of the Hall
there have been no guarantees made that his name will be on the new facility.
We, the undersigned, believe it is essential that a fitting memorial to Ian is established in the centre of Baildon, preferably by naming the new permanent library building in his
