Governments to take decisive action against corrupt and unfair business practices
Dear PM Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan, Chairman Bahria Town
I (and tens of thousands of other) overseas Pakistanis have invested our hard earned money in Bahria Town Karachi (BTK) and over the past 4-5 years we have paid all land and dev charges. Now BTK is demanding to take possession of our plots before 15/01, although the majority of the precints are not even developed and basic amenities are non-existent. We investors of BTK have been threatened that if we do not take possession, BTK will impose hefty fines and will also allocate our plots to another customer.
At the same time, BTK is also imposing an illegal 35% charges, in the name of Town Dev. Charges although 100% price of the property has been paid as per agreement. BTK feels that they are at liberty to harrass and blackmail their local & overaeas customers.
I humbly request the following,
1. Kindly intervene and ask BTK to stop their illegal practices and cancel these illegal additional 35% charges immediately.
2. Per Supreme Court's decision transfer properties to their lawful owners via official government procedures.
3. Bound Bahria Town to provide security to its residents and all other facilities as promised.
