It is inconvenient to not be able to carry around backpacks at school. It would be significantly easier to carry around backpacks than to carry materials for the next couple of classes. We understand that contraband could be a concern relating to having backpacks during the school day, but the school staff has access to checking backpacks if there is concern. Signing this petition could help change this rule, but the school board has the power to make this decision.
